In the past five years, the Journalism Fellowships in Child and Family Policy program has provided research and financial support to more than 100 journalists to increase their understanding of child / family issues and their policy dimensions. The program has also supported 45 independent journalism projects on these issues.

Our current class of 35 fellows will receive cross-training focused around three primary areas: the education of young children, children of immigrants and measures of child and family well-being.

See our 2005-2006 Class of Fellows.

This University of Maryland program is supported by the Foundation for Child Development, a national, private philanthropy dedicated to the principle that all families should have the social and material resources to raise their children to be healthy, educated and productive members of their communities.

This is the final year of the program. No more applications for fellowships are being accepted.
